BREETEL M 25 Tablet is a medicine used for treating high blood pressure. By lowering blood pressure, it helps in preventing future heart attacks and strokes. Early treatment with this medicine also improves the chances of survival in patients with heart attacks.
It is advised to take BREETEL M 25 Tablet with food at a fixed time each day to maintain consistent levels of medicine in the blood. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse. Keeping active with regular exercise, reducing your weight and eating a healthy diet will also help control your blood pressure. Follow your doctor’s advice while taking this medicine.
Some common side effects of this medicine include headache, weakness, dizziness, decreased blood pressure, increased potassium level in blood, orthostatic hypotension (occasionally with syncope), breathlessness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and fatigue. It is advised to avoid potassium rich food and supplements while taking this medicine. It may cause dizziness, avoid driving or rise slowly from the sitting position. You may be asked for regular monitoring of blood pressure, blood sugar level, kidney functioning, urea, or electrolytes level during the treatment.
Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any liver or kidney problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor for advice before taking this medicine. You also need to tell your doctor what other medicines you are taking especially those used to treat high blood pressure or heart conditions.

You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

BREETEL M 25 Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Telmisartan and Metoprolol Succinate.
1 .Alcohol-UNSAFE
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with BREETEL M 25 Tablet.
2 .Pregnancy-CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
BREETEL M 25 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
3 .Breast feeding-SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
BREETEL M 25 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
4.Driving-UNSAFE
BREETEL M 25 Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
5 .Kidney-SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
BREETEL M 25 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of BREETEL M 25 Tablet is recommended.
6 .Liver-CAUTION
BREETEL M 25 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of BREETEL M 25 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose of BREETEL M 25 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
